"Back in the day" circa ~2003 I used to visit AbcBodybuilding.com for advice on exercises and nutrition etc. The typical bodybuilding meal plan back then seemed to consist of 200g of protein from chicken/tuna/turkey, and an additional 50g from protein bars & shakes. Broc****, a few other green veggies, and leafy greens. Oats, egg whites, flax seeds & natural peanut butter and absolutely no fruit or Dairy due to the sugars. Not only no added refined sugar, but also no natural sugars from fruits. If you ate an apple you were clueless etc.
Now I am seeing meal plans with bananas & apples, as well as milk used in protein shakes, both which from what I recall were blasphemous.
Has the take on bodybuilding nutrition changed or was I just on a weird forum?
