Please help.

I joined gym on 19 april 2017. My body weight was 95 kg and body fat was around 35%. My waist was 42 inches and my height is 178cm. I started working out and tracked my diet.
My progress today January 6 2019
I weigh 74kg
Body fat 17%
I have gained muscle atleast that much that other look at me and yes i feel different from other.
I can feel my abs and i can see some of them poping out.
I have been cutting for last two months and according to my research i came to know that i need 5,6 more months.
I asked my trainer about this topic but he was trying to misguide me saying you cannot get abs umtil u start some steroids. U will loose all your muscle if u get to 10% bodyfat. U will look very weak,i have been cutting for 2 months and my friends and all my family members has started saying i look weak. What shall i do??
I have fixed my diet.
My age is 20 years, height 178cm weight 74 kg(163lb).
I am consuming around 195gm protein,135gm carbs,56gm fats. Shall i continue dieting for 5,6 months for 10% bodyfat or steroids are only option to get there. He said me cost of those chemical and i can't afford it,they are very expensive. I barely convinced my father for protein powder. Please help what shall i do??
