Hey guys, first time writing on the forum.
I’m getting back on the gym after more than two years, eating crap and being lazy. I had an heart inflamation so i had to stop trainning, and when i got better i didn’t get back to the routine, until now (2,5 years passed).
I used to practice kickboxing (non competitive) and the last 6/7 months before i stopped completely i was weight trainning and got some pretty good noob results, altho i wasn’t counting macros or any thing like that, just trying to eat clean most of the time.
I was at around 163lb at the time, today i weighted myself at 176lb and never weighted this much.
Now i started the novice Fierce 5 program (monday, wednesday, friday) and thinking about including one or two intense cardio between those days (trying to stay realistic).
My day job is pretty sedentary, i drive for about 10hours every day for 6 days per week, i’m 30yo, weight at 176lb and 5’9 tall...
Main question is: should i start counting my macros to cut, maintenance or bulking?
I’ve read here in the forum that maintenance is spinning your wheels, but i’m afraid of going to pack more fat trying to gain muscle, or lose muscle trying to fat loss...
What would be your suggestion? Maintenance, bulking then cutting, or cutting then bulking?
Sorry for the (probably) stupid question.
