I have a pretty static smoothie that I like to drink every morning to get my day started. I just recently started making this smoothie and I think it's pretty good but I would love to see some other opinions on what good ingredients are. I'm just looking for 'superfoods', the less common ingredients, because I don't know too much about them but i'm sure they're valuable... Here's what I currently add:
Ashwaganda
-Stress & anxiety relief
-Plenty of other benefits
Collagen (I, II, III, V, X)
-Skin, hair, nails ;)
-Joint health, bone health and digestive health
Goji berry powder
-Energy
-Antioxidants
Maca powder
-Libido
-Energy
-Stress relief (?)
Chia seeds
-Fiber
-Omegas
-Energy
I'm thinking about getting rid of the Maca and Chia, because I really don't care about the libido, and i'm not sure about maca's effectiveness otherwise, and I already take a fish oil supplement and get plenty of fiber in my diet rather than from chia seeds.
I don't have any specific goals for my smoothies, just basics: physical health, mental health, muscle growth
What 'superfoods' do you add to your smoothie, why?
