So ive been eating a very standard diet for people who bodybuild. My problem is I'm fatigued and hell during the day and want to go home and just pound down pasta... I'm trying to eat clean, and my sleep hasnt been great, but maybe you can shed some light on my issue
Im a male, 30 yrs old, 5'9 160 lbs. I checked my blood and I am Slightly anemic, although only very little. my diet consists of:
Macros: about 40% carbs 30% fat 30% protein
Breakfast: 2 eggs, granola, fruit/green shake,
Lunch: broc****, brown rice, lean chicken
Dinner: flank steak or fish, sweet potatoe, broc****.
Snacks: I snack in between with mixed nuts and yogurt.
Supplements: 1 scoop protein powder after workout, ginger tea, fish oil, vitamin d3/d2,
Drinks: Decaf coffee - 2 cups
So... I know already my sleep needs improving, i normally do not get enough, and when I do sleep enough ( 8.5-9 hours ) my mind will feel a lot better, however my body feels really fatigued from morning to dinner time. It's just hard to stand, and I've barely gone to the gym, maybe 1ce a week to do light physical therapy, I want to do more. I work in construction management, I'm not even doing labor. I do walk around a lot but I feel like I cant even hold my head up or eyes open.
I feel like the brown rice doesnt do it, I'm craving bread / pasta sooo bad, but I dont want to get sleepy eating to heavy and also am trying to get a little leaner... I am italian, so this isnt easy. Sometimes for dinner I'll make pasta, but during the day I'll just be a slug... any advice? Is it my diet? Sleep? Any advice is really welcomed. Thanks!
