I know a caloric deficit is needed for fat loss and that it's pretty much the end all and be all of fat loss which is why it makes most fat burners to be rubbish since they just elevate caloric usage.
So my question is, how does a substance that also mobilizes fat, such as matcha, fit into the equation? I haven't read any science on this, so my thought process is if a substance enables your body to better use the fats it has in it's fat stores, then wouldn't the body be less dependent on carbs and other nutrients? (in comparison to someone not using Matcha, not trying to say it would only burn fat and nothing else).
If the above assumption is true, wouldn't this help to reduce the rate of fat gain while on a bulk? Since the body would be using up slightly more fat to provide energy which balances off or reduces the net gain of fat?
Just curious to see what people have to say about this if they have any actual evidence. Every time I hear people putting down fat burners (which I do to), I only hear arguments against the caloric usage point and nobody seems to address what I have here.
