When cutting at a reasonable rate, 1-1.5lbs/week, while keeping protein high, would losing strength be an indication of muscle loss?
Last time I did a 3-4 month cut (lost 20-25lbs, including water weight + food in GI tract. I suspect I lost between 15-20lbs of fat+muscle), I lost quiet a bit of strength, but I recovered the strength pretty easily after I started bulking. However, I don't want to have to do this each time I cut. I want to at least maintain my strength. Is there anything more I can do from a nutritional aspect to maintain strength, other than keeping protein high?
