Hi all!
I have been following a well balanced meal plan for about 10 months now. My first goal was to lose weight, and in the last 3 months i have set a new goal to strength and tone...specifically grow my glutes. I thought i was eating in a surplus at 1600-1800 cal per day, but was still losing weight and inches, so I’ve deciding to give tracking macros a try. I used IIFYM and came up with 239g carbs, 109g protein, 46g fat and 1935 cal. I am struggling to meet my carb and calorie intake (i feel so full!) but am hitting my fat and protein easily, if not exceeding...just as an example, today i had 29g carbs left, hit 1807/1935 cal, and was over fat by 5g and protein by 18g. I’m active.. 5-6 days..45 min strength training/HIIT workouts per week plus activity throughout the day, but i feel like I’m forcing myself to eat to hit my macros..i should Be hungrier! I travel for work as well and struggle on travel days to even eat enough according to IIFYM goals. Am i hindering muscle growth and encouraging fat gain by going over on fat and still in my calorie deficit? I’m sorry if this is confusing...just looking for some insight as i am well aware of how clueless i am 🤷🏻♀️ Thanks in advance!
