Hello, I am 24 years old and weigh 220 pounds. I am currently cutting and trying to lose 20-30 pounds of fat. I first started my meal plan and working out when I was 230 on the scale. A few days to a week after I started I went down to 224 pounds and from there went down to 220 pounds. For about 3 weeks now I seem to be stuck at 220-222 pounds. I understand that I did recieve some newbie gains due to being away from the gym for a while. I was always sore and felt that I was improving. The first two weeks my clothes became looser and I felt as if the regimine was working. But as mentioned for the last three weeks I havent seen the scale change nor can I notice any difference in the mirror. I understand that fat loss takes time and the scale can fluctuate. But the only possible reason behind me not dropping fat faster may be my diet. Since I lift weights and do cardio 4-5 days a week. This is why I made this post in order to get advice on my diet. I have tried cutting before and cooked my own meals. But I am not the best cook and I just ended up starving myself then giving up. So now I decided on flexible dieting. Here is my meal plan:
Breastfast: 2 large eggs= 140 cal, 10g fat, 12g protein.
Lunch: 2 BBQ Chicken Flatbread (Panera Bread)= 800 cal, 36g fat, 74g carbs, 48g protein, 860mg sodium.
Dinner: Double Teriyaki with white rice (Panda Express)= 980 cal, 78g protein, 8g fat, 103g carbs, 1060mg sodium.
1 Kick Start Orange Citrus drink= 80 cal, 21g carbs, 180mg sodium.
Total: 2,000 calories, 139g protein, 198g carbs, 54g fat, 2,100mg sodium.
I understand that my meal plan isn't that great. But I would really like to have some opinions. Are my calories too high? Should I drop breakfast and do intermittent fasting? I seem to feel good on this meal plan, but my weight has seemed to stop going down. Again, I would love advice! Thank you!
