So, I started working out around 3 months ago, and in this time ive gained all of about 5 lbs. Its not nothing, but it is a lot less than I had hoped to gain considering the amount of time I have put into this. I wanted to start by asking if this slow rate of weight gain is expected, or if I can hope to progress faster than this. these past 2 weeks ive taken nutrition more seriously and am currently consistently eating 2500 calories and 120 grams of protein (for reference im 5ft 7 and 120 lbs). I work out 3 times a week, following a 3 day full body program from this site (being a new member I cant include a link).
One thing that ive been wondering is how important meal timing is, as i generally wake up late and cram these calories into a small portion of the day.
any advice is appreciated, as I feel like I can make better gains than I am currently.
