Cooking with whey / effects on protein quality and availability

I've always heard on these forums that cooking with whey is no issue at all. I had never looked into the studies myself. Going by these studies there does seems be some reason for concern. Probably better to avoid heating whey, or at least avoid higher temperatures for longer periods.
