Sodium tends to distort weight on the scale by binding water underneath the skin; and it also makes one look puffy causing the illusion of carrying extra fat.
I tend to keep my sodium intake at around 1500-2000mg per day and refrain from salt, but on some days I can easily go up to 3000 depending on what kinds of food I decide to eat that day even though I tend to ballpark at around maintenance calories.
Should this be a concern, or should I just focus on calories in/out?
