I know that you retain water from both eating carbs and from eating salt (or too much salt), but is the "way" the water is retained different from those two?
Because I think I tend to get a lot more puffy (puffy tired eyes, fluid retention in the face) waking up after a meal with much sodium, than after a day with lots of carbs in terms of e.g. rice or oats. So does the "water holding" from carbs only influence the weight scale, as there is more water IN the body but doesn't affect the appearance like sodium does?
