I'm not really sure where to post this but i was curious does anyone know why i feel like i'm experiencing anaphylactic shock after i drink a post workout protein shake? It's really weird, and this will sound stupid, but i've put myself through this pain multiple time to "self-study".
True-Mass by BSN - anaphylactic shock
Syntha-6 - anaphylactic shock ~50/50 Most times i think i'm ok with this one?
Muscle Milk - anaphylactic shock 50/50 Sometimes i'm ok
Casein by ON - I think i'm mostly ok with this one?
This has been over the course of years i was in the service and avidly working out. Once i got out, i took a break, a long break :D, and now i'm getting back into it. I have a solid routine that's working well, relying mostly on lean meats for my proteins and whatnot. But i decided to try some of my buddies true-mass shake (chocolate milkshake <-- Delicious!) I took a sip, no more then maybe half a palate full, and within 1 min i felt it in my throat. I know that if i had more i would have difficulty breathing, wheezing, rumbling of the uvula (my uvual feels like a speed bag when this happens BTW) and vomiting. Also the weird thing is when i vomit in this condition, it is like a solid foam, like my stomach is filled with half cured expanding foam. I choke on it and it is painful.
I apologize for the colorful descriptions, but i just want to be as accurate as possible in case someone knows something. I would like to introduce a solid protein supplement to my routine, but i have no clue why my body reacts this way.
