my diet is pretty good atm, however I still have a lot to learn and I feel like I could improve on my breakfast. Ive been having A very tall green shake, combined with 2 eggs cooked over easy, ill also have about 4 oz of granola with this. All together its pretty filling and needs a little tweaking. I wanted to compare toast, granola, oats, and similar breakfast choices.
so I have tried steel cut oats in many different forms, trying to make it taste good different ways. I also tried having it just mixed with water. I pretty much just dislike them too much, but I hear they are possibly the best breakfast food to have for most people. They are the #1 most recommended health food besides chicken it seems.
Lately ive been eating granola, but I hear its too calorie dense, and I tend to gravitate to expensive stuff, which is organic but also pretty sweet.
Then I was thinking about just having some whole wheat organic toast in the morning, I started to look into Helmut Strebl's diet.. the most ripped man on earth at age 50 is eating BAGELS.. MULTIPLE in the morning... I dont understand this.
I understand how our workouts greatly dictate what and how much we should eat. For me, id love to be able to have something other then brown rice and oats, but let me know what im getting myself into. what are the real benefits and cons to each, how do they stack up?
I could use a little enlightenment on the topic. Im going for a cut physique.
THANKS!
