The recommended Protein minimum in the sticky is : 0.7 gram per pound of bodyweight
If i lose 20lbs of fat but retain the exact same amount of muscle, my bodyweight is 20lbs lower, if the recommended protein is based on body weight why would i require less protein than i did when i was carrying 20lbs of fat? Am i missing something? surely if anything you would want more protein the leaner you get?
The same can be said for gaining bodyweight, lets say i gained 20lbs but didn't increase my muscle mass, i would require more protein just because i have 20lbs of extra bodyfat? why does having higher body fat increase protein intake needs?
