Hello, i just want to ask this. Im ectomorph, so im trying to gain some weight. Usually when i wake up, i have my breakfast (oats,milk,fruits you know, classic bigger breakfast). Then after 2-3 hours (i have really bigger breakfast so i must wait a little longer, i like to train with empty stomach) i go to train. My workout is around 1,5 hours long (like 1 hours of training and 30 mins of stretch, warm up).
And now there is question - as ectomorph that is trying to build muscle, will be better for me to have whey protein shake right after workout and then around 1 hour later well rounded meal, or that protein does not matter and i can simply just finish my workout, dont eat and drink anything (just water) and then 1-1,5 hours later have my well rounded meal ? Im using protein, but i like more to use it as "added protein" to my meals like oeatmeal etc. but if it will be any benefical to have it post workout and helps me to build more muscle, i have no problem to have it.
