Raw Eggs: Is there a way to eat them safe but raw?

I found eating raw eggs made me stronger and really made me feel ready to hit the weights hard. I never had a problem eating about 13-26 raw eggs down for a couple of months (didn't do this everyday but occasionally when I wanted a quick protein draw without going through the slow cooking process). But one month I caught a serious bacterial infection only concentrated on my hands. Not sure if it was because of the mosquito bites or the raw eggs but I went to the doctor and got prescribed medicine and after about 3-4 days it settled down. But I wonder if it's because of the eggs. Is there a way to eat raw eggs safely? I heard that salmonella has been completely removed in the egg farm industry so I didn't worried about that until now.
