The recommended minimum "fat" intake is 0.4g/lb. But what kind of fats? Should I keep saturated fat under 10% of my total calories?
Most of my fats are unsaturated and come from nuts (almonds, pecans, walnuts, pistaccios, etc..), cooking oil (canola, vegetable oil, olive oil) for stir frying dishes, and eggs. I get some negligible amounts from bread, chicken breast, whey protein. Occasionally I'll eat beef, lamb, or pork -- I believe their fat content is mostly saturated..
I occasionally eat out too and that's probably the only time where I consume any trans fat because I don't think any of the aforementioned foods have trans fat.
