To what extent would going over on carbs or fat affect your body with the goal of fat loss, assuming you are under your calorie limit, and reaching your protein goals? Currently, the only number in my macro split that I take with absolute seriousness is protein (and total calorie intake). I guess the premise of a low-carb and low-fat diet is confusing to me if the goal is simply to cut weight and maintain muscle.
