Hey everyone— sorry if this is in the wrong spot or has already been covered. I did search and didn’t come across anything that specifically answers my question.
I’ve been boxing forever and have done jiujitsu for several years now. Mostly my lazy way of staying active without having to be too disciplined.
Recently have been inspired to get my act together with my nutrition and also actual lifting. Most of my workouts have been active sparring, drills and bodyweight exercises.
I actually started tracking my nutrition and have been disciplined, and one major thing became apparent— I’ve definitely not been getting enough protein.
I’ve seen several similar recommendations for the daily protein intake, but it seems to be applicable to those looking to increase their weight. I’m looking to hopefully lose another 20 pounds. Would you still base your protein intake on your current weight, or your goal weight? Or neither?
Thanks for any advice or comments.
