Only on Friday I found out about nutrition/macros. I thought I was eating right beforehand, but maybe not eating enough, and not being careful enough.
Since then, I've read through the stickies and want to make sure I'm on the right path.
I'm 30yo, 198lbs, 6ft3
I do 3hrs of gym 3x a week
10x 100m sprints 3x week
5km walks every day
Sit at a desk all day for work
I'm reasonably fit, but I've got a bit of a belly and some lovehandles. I'd like to lose these, but I think maintaining my weight is good (losing belly, putting on muscle)
I did a quick measurement thing online, and it said I'm 25% body fat.
My goal is to build my leg muscles up substantially (doing ACL rehab). Upper body is a nice bonus.
Based on all that, I chose intermediate exercise + maintain weight, which gave me 3000 calories.
I divided it up 40% carbs, 30% protein/fat
Am I on the right path? Does 3000 calories sound correct?
2 days in, I feel so dam full and there's so much food, which is crazy to me cos I've always loved food!
So just wanted to check in before I keep going.
