Protein and oats?

So I'm having an issue drinking my protein shake, but I feel as if it would be much easier to make it as I prepare my porridge/oat meal. The thing holding me back is - under such high temperatures, wouldn't the protein denature and pretty much be pointless at that point? Hope someone can help out :)
