I’ve been mindful about my nutrition for awhile now, but this past week is the first time that I have counted calories for everything that I’ve eaten or drank in order to make sure that I’m at a 300-500kcal surplus. My TDEE is about 2800 or so. I’m 5’9”, 17y/o (yes I’ve read the sticky), and my latest weight measurement was 174.4lb. The thing is, last week’s measurement was 170.4lb. I know this can’t be right because typical weight gain would be somewhere between .25-2lb/week. I also understand that people typically have a 5lb fluctuation range but both measurements were taken first thing in the morning after using the restroom. I have basically been throwing back all kinds of food this week (mostly clean) and I also just recently started a new program.
Are these just faulty measurements or is it somehow possible that I am 4lb heavier after seven days ? I’m very confused.
