Hello everyone!
I have a little theoretical question that I can not find the answer to anywhere else on the internet, so I was wondering if someone could answer it.
I have chronical gastritis, which means that once in a while (mostly due to periods of emotional stress and a high calorie bodybuilding diet) my stomach lining gets a little inflamed and/or irritated. My symptoms are mostly just abdominal pain/discomfort, bloating and a little burping/flatulating, so NO vomiting or diarrhea or whatsoever.
So my question is: How much does this affect the absorption of nutrients, and especially protein? Is it something to worry about, from a bodybuilding perspective? Could it potentially hinder muscle growth?
I'd really appreciate someone that has a bit of in-depth knowledge regarding these topics giving me a short answer.
