I've been gaining half a pound a day and I'm starting to get worried.

Hi. I'm a guy who's 5'8.5 and currently weighs in at around 123.5lbs.

A few days ago this wasn't the case. I would weigh in at 122lbs with a few fluctuations here and there for the most part.

I calculated my TDEE to be at around 1920 kcals a day and I've been recomping for the past month and half; trying to build muscle while maintaining the same body fat that I currently have if not lowering it slightly.

Lately I haven't been able to eat as much throughout the week so I've been making up for it by upping my calories and eating in a surplus during the weekend, to make sure that my net calorie intake is on point.

However for some reason over the past 3 days I've gone from 122 to 123.5 which makes no sense because I'd have to be eating 2000 calories over my TDEE for that to happen if not more. So Idk what's going on.

I don't eat salt and I tend to keep my sodium intake at 2000mg or so at most.

I also do intermittent fasting and tend to eat all of my calories within a 1 hour eating window.

Am I retaining water from exercise? Am I gaining fat or muscle, personally I'd prefer the latter.

So what's going on? : (

If you need more info, feel free to ask me anything.

Another thing I'd like to know is whether you're supposed to put on weight when recomping because of the added muscle mass. Which I don't mind; but since there's no sure way to know whether the weight that's piling is fat or muscle asides from measurements and looking in the mirror, then I'm still worried.
