High protein/low carbs or macros?

I just newly registered here seeking assistance in figuring out what I should eating to get cut, and start the process of bodybuilding. I've been lifting weights since I was 15, now 20, but this last year is the first year that I have taken any serious consideration into bodybuilding, and getting fit. I've done my research into different methods, but I was hoping to reach out to others who might've been in a similar if not almost the same situation I'm in.

Essentially, I have the body-type known typically as skinny-fat, but over the years I have put on at least a respectable amount of muscle. I'm 6', 210 lbs., 22% BF, and my TDEE is roughly 3100. I've used all the calculators to try and figure out what diets might work best for me, but before I entirely commit I thought I should ask those of you who have a proper amount of experience.

Basically, I'm wondering, should I go on a low carb, low cal, high protein diet, or stay on a macro diet?

I've created a food plan for a high protein diet, and worked all the macros out for the latter.
It works out the high protein diet being 70g of fat, 150g of carbs, and 220g of protein.
However, calculating out my macros, I found a recommendation of 80g fat, 335g carbs, and 170g protein.
My goal is to lower my BF percentage to 8%-15%, then proceed to bulk up on muscle.

I'm sure there are plenty of threads already addressing similar situations, but I thought it might just be quicker and easier to post my own specifications.
