I recently had a body composition test done and it was pretty bad.
The bad
131kg
45.7% body fat which puts me just below morbidly obese
The good
10.10kg/m2 for skeletal muscle. Normal reading would be 7.26kg/m2
I train 4 days a week powerlifting, about an hour and a half a time, and do 2-3 30 min cardio sessions a week. My jobs pretty cruisey but I'm on my feet all day.
Through the test i found that my resting metabolic rate is approx 2500 calories, so if i just stayed in bed all day and did nothing that would be what i need to consume to stay the same weight.
So what I'm wanting to know is should i be eating to maintain my lean mass plus say 10-15kg (including exercise) to bring me into a much more normal weight range or if i should work out my maintenance + exercise for my current weight then back my calories down say 5-800 a day to lose the excess fat?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
