How to track .5lbs weight gains per week?

I have this app called Happy Scale, but I’m a little confused on how it works. Basically, I put how much weight I am every morning, and it tells me how much weight I am gaining per week. The thing is that it gives a result every day I log into it. (Take out the spaces and post in browser)

Yesterday for Friday it said I was gaining .9lbs, but after I logged my weight for today, it changed.

You could also see how it gives a new result every day. Does that mean I’m going to gain .5 a day? How can I work this out because my brain cannot wrap around this concept of how it works.

If there’s a simpler way to check let me know.
