I use my fitness pal regularly to keep track of my macros and calories, but I have never understood why it factors in steps. The reason this confuses me is because I thought the activity factor in itself was supposed to factor in your steps (roughly). By tracking steps throughout the day and adding those to my allotted calorie intake, doesn't that mean that the app is multiplying my steps times two since it's already factored in the activity level you choose?
Just trying to be as accurate as possible if anyone could elaborate on this.
