So basically my normal protein shake ran out and I was ready to order a new one until I discovered this serious mass protein by Optimum Nutrition . It was almost the same price as my usuals but double the net weight so I was shocked . At first I thought it just a normal mass protein but then i checked 1 heaving scoop = 625 cal and they are super high in carbs.
Did a few research on it , said 1 or 2 heaving scoop per day is fine. Thats crazy ,2 heaving scoop is 1250 cal which is already 50% of my daily intake . Im already interested to switch at this point because how it can save a lot of food prepping time and i dont have to stuff food in me all the time .All I need is just add few remaining calorie to fit my macros and im done for the day.
But it sounds too good to be true ? Is there anything I should know before consuming this ? Is it safe having synthesize product as half of your daily diet ? Pardon me if i sound like a paranoid , better safe than sorry.
Edit : I was skinny (still skinny) , gained 10kg in this past 2 years and kinda plateau now in 54-56kg because sometimes i dont hit my daily intake calorie when I have assignments due or exams coming up. Maybe this serious mass can make a change .
