I've been consistently ligiting for about 1.5 years, even though my strenght and muslce gains are below average for that period, I still had some significant progress.
Started severely underweight at 127lbs/58kg 10% BF 185cm/6'1 and now I'm at 169lbs/77kg with about 15 to 17% BF.
Started with 10 inches / 24cm arms, now at 14 inches / 36cm
My plan was not to stop bulking until I hit the 2 years mark, however, I'm just tired of eating. I'm tired of having my life orbit around food and worrying about my calories, I'm also starting to feel weak and lethargic during the day, mainly after meals, and I suspect this may be related to insulin resistance due to bulking non-stop for such a long period.
I've thinking about running a very light and slow cut just to take a break from eating, and hopefully lose some fat in the process, however, since I'm a beginner, EVERYONE on the internet advises against cutting. I've been thinking on eating my maintaince or slightly below that, can I expect to lose some fat while doing that? If so, how long until I see results?
Is it worth it? Or should I keep bulking?
If everything goes wrong and I do lose more muscle mass than I expected, is it easier to regain after?
I'm just scared of losing the little I've gained and just wasting months worth of training.
