Hey... I'm looking for some advice regarding nutrition to cut fat, especially around the midsection.
Some background on me.... I'm 45 years old and in 2014 suffered a car accident with brain trauma. I was out of work and almost completely sedentary for nearly 3 years. At the time of the accident, I was in pretty good shape, but the extended down time afterwards lead to a lot of weight gain and very poor stamina. I spent the last year and half slowly getting back in shape and have lost 27lbs by walking and hiking. My strength is returning, I can hike in the hills (19 elevations) for 8 to 10 miles without stopping, however my midsection is still nowhere near what it was. I look 4 months pregnant. Being a single guy, I'm trying everything I can to look like my old self and feel better. The biggest problem with every fat cutting nutrition plan that I find online is that they all contain foods that I'm allergic to. I can't eat mushrooms, peanuts, almonds, dairy products, strawberries, or coconut and I have diverticulitis so seeds and rice are out too. Almost every recipe has one or more of these items in it.
Somebody out there has to have some ideas because eating the same 4 foods every meal is just not working for me anymore. Please help a guy out....
