Hello all. I posted a similar thread recently but it’s been awhile and I have yet to get an answer. I’ll post a more brief version this time.
I have spastic triplegia due to cerebral palsy, so my mobility is limited, and I’m trying to figure out how to factor that in as far as the number of calories I need.
I am:
Male
20 years old
5 feet 5 inches
150 pounds
Visually my untrained eye would estimate myself around 25 percent body fat. (Somewhat defined upper body muscle until the belly area, which bulges out somewhat)
I exercise for at least an hour 3-4 times a week.
My goal is to get to around 10-15 percent body fat, and around 135-140.
To do this, for about two weeks I’ve been doing intermittent fasting (basically just only eating dinner in my case) and slowly decreasing my calorie intake. For the past week or so I’ve been sticking to about 1400 per day.(I figured this because I’ve been told that 1500 is the minimum recommendation, so I subtracted 100 due to not using my legs nearly as much.) is this too high or low? Can anyone offer any advice?
