Counting calories on weekly basis ?

Ok so let's say that I would normally eat 2800 cals daily on a bulk. This would be 19 600 calories in total on a weekly basis. If I know that I have a party or an event on saturday and that I will eat more then normal on that day, would it be possible to eat 4 days at 2800 cals, 2 days at 2000 cals and at 4400 cals if I it my minimum amount of protein everyday ?

Would it also be applicable on a cut or it woulnd't be as effective as calculating my calories daily ?

I know that in theory, it would work but I'm not sure if the results would be the same, anyone has ever try something similar to that ?
