Any body not count calories and still have good results?

I have tracked calories for what seems like for ever now, as such i think i have become pretty good at eye balling meals. I am wondering if there is anybody here he doesn't count calories or at least only eye balls their food and listens to their body?

When i think back before i started lifting i never counted calories or ever thought about counting calories, i never even new what a calorie was!, i always remained around the same weight and was never fat and i never even exercised. This blows my mind! I dirty bulked when i first started and got fat for the first time in my life. I didn't plan to dirty bulk i just stuffed my face trying to gain weight thinking that would lead to the fasted gains. This was before i even had the internet.

Counting calories isn't a huge deal but i do kind of feel like its obsessive and not natural, Why should we all get fat as **** from just listening to our natural hunger instinct? Surely we are not designed to just get fat, there must be another reason for that, I have noticed junk food doesn't fill me up as much as when i eat "clean" whole non processed foods, I am going to try listening to my body no longer counting calories and trying to eat 90% clean and see how i get on. If i notice my weight just starts going up too fast i'll go back to counting calories.

I would love to hear from anybody else who doesn't count calories tho, Some people will say most Americans don't count calories and most of them are obese, sure but most of them also eat junk food all day. If there are any people here who don't count calories i would love to hear what your diet consists of.
