Going in for surgery on Friday to repair full thickness tear in rotator. Anything in particular I should be eating to maximize/speed up/promote healing and recovery? Won't be training for a while obviously so was planning on keeping protein and fat at recommended minimums and mainly eat produce for carb/fibre sources. I was also thinking about maintaining a slight deficit as I've packed on some unwanted weight in the past year. Thoughts? Doc didn't seem in the know nutrition wise when I asked this.
