I've just started a 4 week cut as I've been bulking for a good long while. During my bulk (which was fairly dirty, next time it won't) I was consuming 3,330 cals per day. I've a pretty fast metabolism and this brings me onto my question.
How fast can fat loss possibly occur? Because I've been on diets in the past for medical reasons, one of them was the AIP diet, essentially KETO but in stricter terms, and I lost 4KGs in 10 days. Granted a lot of that was water weight, but my body is pretty crazy when it comes to weight loss.
I see people on this forum talking about 1-2lbs per week, but for me I can and will lose probably 2-3KGs in a week with a 300 caloric deficit (currently consuming 2,400 cals) People say that this kind of wight loss is too fast, but literally I cannot help it, and I fear I will lose muscle mass. My body is so crazy regarding this, that I can wake up after a day of intermittent fasting, and I look noticeably thin, and I don't just mean my belly, I mean my entire body. I put it down to genetics as my mom is the same in terms of weight loss.
But anyway, do you have some tips on what I can do to preserve muscle mass and cutting
