Is the carnivore diet safe?

Being vegan is one thing, but I always thought that the opposite extreme, eating only meat, is crazy and unhealthy.

However, there's this guy named Shawn Baker who promotes this diet. He says that it's healthy and the reason why people are fat and sick, is because they eat other bad things(refined sugars and starches) along with the meat, and not because of the meat itself.

Basically, what this means is that if you only ate whole animal foods(bacon, eggs, steak, chicken, fish, organ meats etc), you will be healthy.

Shawn also claims that eating this way can cure auto-immune diseases like ulcerative colitis, psoriasis and eczema. I have a skin condition which is either psoriasis or eczema, and I desperately want a natural way to cure this.

It would be great if I can use this diet, but I'm scared of only eating meat for 3 reasons. One, is that I won't have fiber in my diet. Without fiber, doesn't the meat get stuck in your colon and you get constipated? Second, I'm afraid of the hormones in meat that might increase my risk for cancer. I know there is grass fed organic meat, but I don't know where to get my hands on that, and even if I do, it will likely be too expensive. I'm living on a budget. Third, I'm afraid my cholesterol levels will go up, thus putting me at higher risk for heart disease.

Is anyone on this diet? I would like to hear your thoughts on this.
