I started going to the gym with the idea of gaining lean muscle on 2nd January. I weighed myself at 64kg that morning. Weighed myself this morning at 65.7kg. I am 5'9 btw.
Is it normal to put on that much weight that fast as a beginner? Obviously after a week I'm not going to have put on that much weight in muscle. Currently eating around 2500 calories a day, 290/60/125 macros.
Do I need to eat less or maybe just add some HIIT to my workouts? I don't want end up being fat as **** and having to murder myself in a cutting phase further down the line. Should add that outside of the gym I am extremely sedentary.
