I know that sugar is not good if your trying to be lean and muscular due to it causing an insulin spike, causing your calories to go straight to fat rather than muscle cell production. However I heard that sugar is beneficial and in fact better than just normal carbs post workout. Is this true? And if so could somebody explain this to me. How much sugar should I actually have and from what form (I know obviously not from things like sweets and choclate bars as it has no nutritional value, but would fruit or maybe even honey be ok?)
