Recently, I found out that I was diagnosed with Non-alcoholic Fatty Liver disease and am having to do an overhaul on my lifestyle.
I'm not obese or overweight, just someone with high risk factors in my family (Father was a diabetic). My doctor suggested that I try to lose 10lbs (I'm female, 5'11" and 195lbs) at least and cut out dairy, anything processed, No red meat, no pork, no sugar, no soda, etc.
I am one who has always flipped between vegetarian and omnivorous, but now it looks like I'm going to have to dedicate to a more Vegan oriented lifestyle in most aspects.
I would like to get a protein supplement that is vegan friendly with no added sugar , but I've been having an issue with finding ones. It's been a while since I've had to supplement protein as I'm usually really good about attaining through my diet, but I KNOW I'm going to have issues making sure my dietary intake meets my needs in that area.
Has anyone else had a similar struggle and can suggest a good protein?
