Eating almonds

Hi,

I am trying to bulk and plan to add almonds to my daily diet can anyone let me know if you can eat blanched almonds as is or can you only eat the ones with the skin?

Maybe a silly questions but when I googled I get in that says eat the ones with the skin as is and then there are a few "articles" that say eat to many and it could hurt you long term and all the articles about blanched almonds go on about cooking them.
