I've been dealing with this problem for quite a while and really can't seem to find a solution for it;
Basically, say I have canned chickpeas, the net weight is 300 grams and the drained weight is 200 grams, assume there are 5 grams of protein and 80 calories per serving of 100 grams. If I ate the entire can, would that mean I just ate 15 grams worth of protein and 240 calories or 10g protein and 160 calories?
PS: They don't specify this on the can nor do they give out how many servings per container there is, which is why this is unclear and is especially crucial to know when you are on a diet. This does not only apply for chickpeas, this also applies for pretty much every canned food, such as Tuna, Fava Beans, etc...
