Apologies for the long post, I am manic atm.
I am 13 currently 229 lbs, my highest being 290 lbs. These past six months I have been trying to lose fat but I feel I may have done it the wrong way.
Most of the time my diet has been all over the place. I fast 16 to 48 hours when I feel I should, no assigned days or anything. When I am not fasting I eat under 1000 calories most of the time and with some days I overeat and regret it the next day. My metabolism must hate me.
When I was larger I was decently strong for my age, I can't lift weights like back then and when I measure my muscle under the fat it seems it has decreased in size.
Due to issues with bipolar disorder I often don't eat much because I self loathe or anxiety decreases my appetite. I might be overthinking it and I am definitely overwhelmed with all the conflicting info on how to lose fat. I haven't grown a cm in the past 5 months, I am 5'8 and my genetics all point to me being pretty tall yet I am now the shortest out of friends and family. All I want to do is grow to my full potential but at the same time I am so eager to just lose fat. I still have the same physique as before so I have probably lost mostly muscle. Can I lose fat without stunting growth or losing muscle at my age?
