Meal prep question

Hi everyone,

I want to start meal prepping for the entire week to save time since I’m quite busy, but I’m concerned about food poisoning. So I want to cook chicken and rice meals on Sunday for the entire week in college (Mon-Fri). I’ll store the meals for Monday & Tuesday in the fridge, and the meals for Wen-Fri in the freezer. For example on Tuesday morning before I head to college, I put the 2 meals for Wednesday in the fridge, and take it with me to college on Wednesday. But I have a few questions about this.
Since I’m a college student I’ll have no access to a microwave, so I won’t be able to reheat my meal.

- Is it still perfectly fine to consume the meal without reheating it? (The meal has been sitting in my bag for about 5-6 hours).
- If I freeze a meal, then thaw it in the fridge for 24 hours, then take it to college to eat it 6 hours later, will it still be OK to eat without reheating it?

I’m concerned about the bacteria that may grow in the chicken since I’m not killing them by reheating the meal.

Could you guys maybe give me some tips and advice on meal prepping since I’m new to this?

Thanks!
