How much muscle can I put on in a lifetime?

So I am 19, 6'6", 150 lbs... I used to be 180 but stuff happened. I looked up online and it said on average men can only pack on 40 to 50 pounds of muscle in a lifetime. My end goal is to be 230 - 250 lbs with a good body fat %. I have very high metabolism however I know what it takes nutrition wise to gain weight.

So my question is, naturally, will I only be able to reach 205lbs? I will be doing hypertrophy training until I reach a decent size, then I will do strength training..
