Hey guys, I've been reading and shadowing in the forum for a while, and that's actually my first post.
I'm trying to lose body fat and drop my %.
I work out in the gym as well as Boulder in another gym, and do my cardio.
I've been dieting for a while now, cutting back on carbs, and then I started to carb cycling. Now due to a mis understanding I had while taking advice from a bodybuilding friend I cycled like this for like two weeks :
Day 1: carb 150 g
Fat 45 g
Protein 160
Day 2: carb 50 g
Fat 45 g
Protein 200g
Day 3: carb 0 g
Fat 45 g
Protein 250
Then repeat
Now that was all I ate on those days, and the carbs I counted came from bró**** and cauliflower.
When he found out that that was my carb source he told me that I shouldn't rely on those veggies for carb source, and I should up each day carb amount by 40 grams if that's the way I'm going to count it. Also, on day 0 carbs I did manage to consume only 4 grams of carbs that came with other foods.
Now Ive seen results, but I want to have long lasting effects and achievements, and healthy weight loss. My questions are the followings:
1)is it OK to have 0 carb days? Is it useful at all?
2)can I rely on bró**** and cauliflower for carbs, or do I have to change to stuff like whole grain rice/potato and such?
Weight: 82kg
Height: 176cm
Age: 24
Thank you so much for the info and help
