Muscle and just general weight gain

So I’m new to all this and going to start gym next week and a bit stuck on what to do really. I know diet is the most important thing and I need that sorted as well as what to actually do in the gym because I’m a beginner. I’m 17 just under 5 foot 11 and 56kg (I know I’m skinny and already have low body fat) and I’m hoping to just become more comfortable, I don’t want to be ridiculously massive just defined and reasonably muscular. Anything would be appreciated👍🏼
