Hypertension and workout, protein intake, body weight dillemas

Hello,
I have a hypertension diagnosed since last year. I got my medicaments, used them and problem was under control. Stopped and the problem is back (140/90).

During that time I changed my workout routine for the sake of health. I stopped pumping weights and tottaly converted to workout only with weight of my body (chin-ups, push-ups, squats etc.), combined with cardio (bicycling, skipping rope, punching bag, swimming occasionally). I'm satisfied with that working routine - I avioid too intensive excercises.

Regarding suplementation, I take in the last two years whey protein after the workout (cup of 20-30 grams with water or joghurt). Nothing else. I eat good food, minimum sugar, no junk food, minimum salt - I prefear vegetables, fish, fruit (not too much), lean meat, fat intake is very limited as well. Avoid milk. I believe my diet is not a problem.

I am 1.88m tall and have cca. 96 kgs. I have 36 years. My picture:

I loose weight when I train without protein intake. With 2-3 kgs down I tend to look skinny - although I'm aware that according to BMI I should be obese but I think that it is obvious that I'm far from obese.

So, given the my hypertension condition, I was wondering is there a possibility that protein intake causes some imbalance and somehow props blood pressure up? I stopped using it and still had a slightly elevated BP. Another dilemma, should I loose weight (what is recommended to all hypertension problems)?

I already changed my workout routine from weights to my own body lifting, and I don't wanna loose my hard earned muscles if I don't have to.

Probable cause of my hypertension is stress and anxiety and/or genetics, and I'm learning how to manage it - introducing Yoga, breathing techniques and meditation (it works). But I just wanted to be sure and to check it out here because I wanna stay active and train moderately. I'm listening my doc's advices but she is not inclined to give me advices regarding supplementation and workout tips (other than stop training just walk and, why you use protein at all). On the other side I don't wanna mess with hypertension I wanna keep that under control.

Thanks everyone for comments.
